David H. McDaniel, MD is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a Co-Director of the Hampton University Skin of Color Research Institute, Adjunct Professor in the School of Science, Hampton University, as well as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences for Old Dominion University. In addition to his dermatology training, he has special training in physical chemistry, light physics, pathology and dermatopathology, botany and emergency medicine.
He is the author of over 75 scientific articles and book chapters, primarily concentrating in the field of laser cosmetic surgery, antioxidants, and anti-aging medicine. In March 2016, Dr. McDaniel was awarded a presidential citation from the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery for his “commitment to research and innovation to advance laser and energy based science, and for his years of commitment to teaching at ASLMS.”
Dr. McDaniel has been selected by his peers to be included in The Best Doctors in American for 2017-2018 for the 24th year in a row. He is one of the expert voices quoted in popular magazines such as O, Elle, Vogue, Allure, Essence, Time, Forbes, as well as by major media such as Good Morning America and the BBC. Dr. McDaniel also serves as president of a non-profit charity, The Center for Disfigurement.

We moved into a wonderful new facility in late 2010. Specially designed from the ground up, it provides a superb platform for your comfort and for efficient use of our advanced imaging skin analysis. We designed an optimal layout for our lasers and other non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment devices to help us provide you with state-of-the-art cosmetic services.
Private preparation rooms with television are available while you numb or prepare for your treatment. For long procedures such as Zeltiq™, we have plasma TV and you may bring your own DVD or music or computer of your choice (we offer complimentary WiFi).
Our classroom and videoconference facility allow us to teach locally and consult internationally. Our anti-aging research laboratories contain advanced facilities for tissue culture and DNA analysis as well as equipment for cosmetics testing and laser optics research.
We are conveniently located minutes off the interstate in the heart of Town Center in the Virginia Beach Westin hotel complex. Free parking is available in the garage or on the street and we have a private entrance directly off the Market Street garage elevator.
